Рибата е най-рисковата храна що се отнася до възможност от натравяне. Такова заключение правят „Активни потребители” на база на най-новото си изследване, с което целят да покажат дали на българския пазар се продават риба и рибни продукти, в които има тежки метали.

Оказва се обаче, че от 2014 година насам Българската агенция по храните (БАБХ) не е подавала сигнал за опасна риба, а БАБХ общо е подала 39 такива сигнала изобщо, но нито един за замърсяване с тежки метали.

Изследването на „Активни потребители” обаче показва, че само в един вид тествана риба има стойности, надвишаващи максимално допустимите нива на тежки метали. Става въпрос за замразена цаца, внос от Румъния. Там е засечено 0,331 милиграма на килограм олово, при максимално допустима стойност 0,300 милиграма. Хванати са и продукти с изтекъл срок на годност, внос от Германия – филе от пангасиус на Greenland Seafood Wilhelmshaven, както и Тилапия филе, внос от Полша – производител Abramczyk.

От „Активни потребители” наблягат и на факта, че често в рибата се влага допълнително вода, глазура и фосфати, а това увеличава солеността, като още по-опасно е, че солевите разтвори нямат вкус и всъщност когато солим отделно продукта качваме още повече нивото на сол.

По данни на „Активни потребители” рибата е най-замърсената с тежки метали храна изобщо. На нея се падат около 40% от всички докладвани случаи на тежки метали (1410 от 3600), а ако включим и другите морски храни (миди, раци, скариди, октоподи), числото скача над 50%.
